Armed forces life is hard

The stress and uncertainty of moving frequently and trying to carry on as normal in abnormal circumstances can take its toll on our mental health. These audio track takes you through a calm place visualisation. This is designed to activate the part of your brain that can self-soothe and put you in the best possible position to deal with life's challenges.

With practice these exercises will help you build up your ability to look after yourself when times are hard.

How can I help?

I'm Dr Rosie Gilderthorp. As a Clinical Psychologist, military wife and mum of two I support parents going through difficult times to be the parents they want to be.

It is my mission to make sure we all understand how our brains work and how we can do what matters to us even when we are in pain.

The first step in this joruney is noticing what you feel and meeting yourself and others with compassion. These tracks help you make a start on this journey.
